What happens to your footage

Five days in the cutting room.

A Full edit takes five business days from the day we confirm your files play. Here is what each of them holds.

01

Send the raw

Share a link from Frame.io, Drive, Dropbox or WeTransfer. We open every file, check the audio, and tell you the same business day if anything won’t play.

Day 0
02

One-page scope

A written scope with the package, the length and the due date. Nothing starts until you reply yes.

Day 0–1
03

The assembly

We read the transcript first. False starts, restarts and dead air come out, the story gets its order, and you see a rough cut.

Days 1–2
04

Color, sound, captions

Cameras are matched to each other, hum and room tone are cleaned, loudness is set to −16 LUFS, and captions are timed by hand against the audio.

Days 3–4
05

Files and invoice

Exports land in the sizes you asked for, with two rounds of notes behind them. The invoice arrives on delivery, payable by ACH, check or card.

Day 5

We cut the pause, not the person.

Every edit keeps the breath, the half-smile and the thing you almost didn’t say. It loses the ums, the restarts and the dead air.

Spotlight · The Full edit

One webinar. A week of posts.

Most of our Full edits start as a single recorded webinar or a long founder interview. We pull the one 10-minute version worth sending to a prospect, then three short cuts with captions for the feed, so Monday through Thursday are covered.

Before you send anything

Questions, answered flatly.

Something not covered? projects@janusreel.com gets a reply within one business day.

What do you need from me?

The raw files in any format we can open, a note on where the piece will be posted, and your logo and brand colors if you want lower-thirds. That’s the whole list.

How fast will it come back?

Three business days for a Cutdown, five for a Full edit, ten for a Series. The clock starts when we confirm your files play.

What if I want changes?

Two rounds of notes are in every package. A third round is $85, flat, whatever size the note.

Do you film anything?

No. Footage in, finished files out. We work with whatever your team or videographer already shot.

How and when do I pay?

By invoice. Cutdown and Full edit are billed on delivery; a Series is half to start and half on delivery. ACH, check or card.

What happens to my footage afterwards?

It stays on our drives for 60 days after delivery in case you need a re-cut, then it is deleted unless you ask us to keep it.
